Some use 50:1, but 40:1 is just a little more oil, perfectly fine.... be sure to get a good brand, don't buy cheap!, of air cooled 2 cycle engine oil, 40:1 or 3.2 ounces per one gallon of gas.... read the container of the oil, you'll want to find one that already has a fuel stabilizer in it.
