PVC cement?

Okay, I have some 4"PVC to 2"PVC reducer, a 4" PVC tank/endcap, and a orb valve. It is going to be underneath a lot of pressure (70-100PSI), this is my first time bonding PVC so what should i do surrounded by steps? I heard PVC Primer consequently Cement it together. Anything else?

Answers:    A couple of things to keep surrounded by mind. A lot of PVC pipe failures are related to overuse of primer and cement. IF you use too much of any it can pool in the fitting or pipe and softens the plastic. This will be a undying weak spot.

Only use adequate primer to coat the fitting and pipe then one and only enough cement to coat the parts. You don't want lots of excess dripping stale.

After inserting the pipe into the fitting give it a partially turn to ensure a tight bond.
