See, here's the catch. The size of the camel isn't specified.Or for that matter, what kind of camel!I could draw a tiny camel on a slip of paper, and fold it, and fit it through the eye of an embroidery needle, and mission accomplished. It may be a drawing, but it is still a camel.

Camels can be quite nimble and elastic lil' creatures.

I want to know who was making the needles.
That's what the Good Book says..
There was a place called the eye of the needle that was so low that a camel would have to get on it's knees in order to get through the opening. This was the analogy Jesus was trying to draw.
Mainly, why is this listed under Maintenance & Repairs? LOL! Is it because of the necessary reconstruction of the needle after the camel passed through? I liked your response to that scripture. =)
Who was doing the sewing? Like really....Jesus, the Christ. And you meant to write sowing, right? :)
YES !!
depends on the camel
LoL... okidokey... the "eye of a needle" was a small opening in a city gate. During the day, or during peace time, a city gate was usually open. At night, or during war, the gates were closed, and a smaller opening could be used, one at a time. It was extremely narrow, and this kept invaders from breaking thru. Camels were the 'big rigs' in their day. Just as everything here in the states is carried by big trucks across the country, in those times, they used camels... and the load on a camel was usually very large. Quite often, the load had to be removed, before the camel could get thru. Thus, the analogy, it's easier to unload a camel to go thru the tiny gate, than it is for a rich man to unload himself of his 'burden' to enter into the Kingdom of God.
There was situation...a young man came to Jesus, and asked "What must I do to enter Heaven?" Jesus told him to follow the commandments, and he answered that he had done this, all his life. Jesus gave him a rare opportunity... he told him to go and sell all that he owned, and give it to the poor, and come and be one of his disciples. Bible says the man went away very sad....because he was very wealthy. He wasnt willing to part with his wealth.
For many 'wealthy' people, being wealthy is the most important thing to them. Rockefeller (the richest man of his time) once answered the question, "Is there anything that you want?" by saying.."One more dollar"
God wants to be the most important part of our lives. ;)
