About how long does it take for a thin layer of quikcrete to dry?

You can walk on it in 8 to 10 hours. However it will not completly cure for about 3 days.

I would wait for about 24 hours check it at least every hour and try to keep from touching it . depending on the brand of quickrete you used ight depend on how long it takes to dry ! i would always say that it is better safe then sorry. try to keep from toching it too often so it doesnt ruin your new paved area! stay safe!

WELL THAT DEPENDS ON THE "SLUMP" OF THE CONCRETE. SAY IF ITS A 2 OR 3 I WOULD SAT ABOUT 15- 20 MINUTES. NOW IF YOUR SLUMP IS 8 -10 IT WOULD TAKE A COUPLE HOURS.
