Is there anything I can do about scratches in a stainless sink?

Answers:
Theres not much you can do to fix the scratches. You can try buffing them out like a scratch on a car (soft rag, mild abrasive) but, despite the other advice, steel wool will make your problem worse. If it's really bad, you can always replace the sink. Stainless steel is not as expensive as the other sink options out there.

Other answers:
Stainless steel? Use Steel Wool and elbow grease.

you should have bought a scratchless sink instead.
I am not at all optimistic about this. I have tried it and to no avail. One of the best things is to keep outsiders from cleaning the sink.. with rough cleansing powders such as ajax, etc.

I forgot.. there are 2 or 3(I forgot) finishes to stainless steel and one of them.. with lines from one end to the other, are easier to clean the scratches off of. The other type is, in all practicality, impossible. So.. you can try using a grit 80-120 abrasive pads or sandpaper and sand the l e n g t h of the grain until the scratches are removed... THE LENGTH of the grain.. so you rub ONLY IN ONE direction.
Is your home so 'perfect and spotless" ...that a scratch on a sink has you in tears?

The sink is a tool.... not unlike a pot or a pan.... it is made to be used.....

Do the best you can to keep it clean and presentable....

There are many more things in life ...to worry about..... than a "scratch".....
