Carpet repair, I be vacuuming when it sucked up a thread contained by the hearth rug unraveling a 3 foot piece more or less 1/2"

While I was vacuuming the hearth rug in a upstairs hallway, the vacuum suddenly started unraveling the carpet, seem to have lift off a seam. It is in the order of 3' long by 1/2" wide. I enjoy no extra carpet here, but save the thread. Any ideas on how to repair the devastate? Thank your for all the give support to as always.

Answers:    Been in that done that. But 3 feet by a partially inch seems similar to a really big thread to me. Anyway here's what works on smaller spots:
Squeeze a bit of TRANSPARENT silicone onto the bald spot - but unbelievably sparingly NOT TOO MUCH if you smear it, you'll never get it rotten - then press the thread into place ON TOP of the silicone - not into it. manufacture sure that the silicone isn't becoming visible because it will look shiny compared to the hearth rug.
It will be permanent contained by about 12 hours.
Good luck.
I've done it, too. I repaired mine beside needle and thread, it's rather time consuming but it worked. Good luck.
