How long does my air conditioner run compared to others?

I installed a programmable thermostat with the following temp settings:

3:00am-5:00pm 78degrees
5:00-9:00pm 76 degrees
9:00-3:00am 75 degrees

I noticed that my air conditioner has been averaging a runtime of about 10 hours a day. Does that seem out of the ordinary? I live in a small 2 bedroom apartments with MAYBE a 1 ton unit.

theres so many reasons for that. if its maintaining the temp but takes a long time it could be low on freom. or if you live in a upstairs apt it will run long. that is because of heat load which upstiars are worse. take the temp going in to the airconditioner and temp coming out there should be a 20 degree change in temp + or - 3 degrees. that will tell you its doing everythink it can and the a/c is running ok.
