What's a good computer program for home repair business?

Need to be able to estimate materials, and imput dimensions for some jobs.

Answers:
Excel is a great all-round program for estimates, once you learn how to use it. Used to use it for estimating landscape jobs. It isn't that hard to learn. You can find on-line courses and courses in adult schools - or just learn it from doing, as I did. You can find online Excel lessons for free, too.

But there might be programs I don't know about specifically aimed at more construction-oriented tasks.

I use Punch Home Design Architectural 3000 available on line or in stores for my renovation business. I find that an old fashioned spreadsheet works well for my estimates but the Punch software is great for making floor-plans.
