Why does my tub tub drain clogs every month??
Answers: Hook a garden hose up to the drain.Wrap a scarf or towel around it so you can develop some pressure. That should blow the drain out.
you might have a massive clog beyond the achieve of the snake and that the draino can't combat. if you know someone handy or a plumber friend. have them begin up the drain and check for a big ol hair bubble.
i had a massive one when i bought my house from the prev owners - who are member yeti i think lol
dad took the piping apart astern the wall and took out blobs of yeck
it runs better but still clogs up at times.
try, and i forget the various name, an industrial strength cleaner that is necessarily made from sulphuric acid. you can usually find it surrounded by hardware stores and the container is in a plastic backpack. it is a bit dangerous so use it painstakingly but it blasted through a 4 year hair clog surrounded by something like 4 minutes.
use the vent ie overflow drain remove cover to it for snaking, for plunging nouns tub w/water use the back foot motion not push down this is the trouble any way, hope it help.
Once you get it unclog, you can install
stainless steel wire mesh strainers within the
outlets. This will keep out quill and most anything
else. Clean after each shower.
Building centers, Walmart and other stores deal in
them, also mail direct catalogs list them.
A long occupancy solution is to get a drain strainer. This is a vinyl bonnet that fits over the tub drain and catches the curls before it get's into the drain. Usually they are white. Most accurate hardware stores, like an Ace Hardware or Lowe's or Home Depot will transport them. You may even find them at a big Walmart. They will cost about $2 or 3, that's smaller quantity than another bottle of Draino.
