How can I remove hose inside dampen softener's cistern?

I have a Kenmore Ultrasoft 275 hose softener. There is water inside same even with saline which is at level 2. I never saw wet for last 3 year when refill salt. Does it suppose to enjoy water inside?

Answers:    The softiner requests to be serviced. A shop vack will remove the water and brackish. The wet saline will form a giant chunk after it dries. Be sure not to poke through the salt platform. It's almost one foot from the bottom Don't add any more brackish until it's repaired. Suspect your float in the brine economically is stuck. If you find salt over the float, your problem is solved. If not, your back to calling for service.
Water surrounded by with the saline is normal. Just engineer sure you keep it full of brackish as necessary.
I assume your referring to the brine reservoir. The same tank you put the brackish into. Usually if the water height in the brine reservoir starts getting higher; you will find that your softener is not drawing brine during the backwash cycle.

To go and get the water out, you can siphon it out or simply tip the reservoir and pour it out. This will not solve the problem though. The venturi in the element is probably plugged and not able to draw the brine. Since myselfI or immensely few other repairmen work on Sears Softeners, you may end up calling Sears.
There should be a plug if use a garden hose piece long enough to realize out of tank , later place one end inside after suck on the other end the wet should move out of it. sounds ridiculous but it works.
