I keep getting all this grit blowing through my vents from my swamp cooler. No matter how high or low I set it, there's a new layer of this stuff that gets blown all over my house. When I change the setting, more stuff blows in. I thought that setting it on high would clear out the muck -- it hasn't. Any inexpensive ideas on how to fix this?
Answers:
it needs a serious cleaning. its a chore to get all the sediment out of it. it doesnt cost to clean it out, its just time consuming. open it up and scrape all the stuff out of it. empty the water, clean everything. it takes forever but it makes it run a whole lot better. dont forget to oil the fan and motor while youre in there. or just hire someone to clean it for you.
