just bought a 1981 five burner whirlpool gas stove. I need to convert it back to natural gas.?
Answers:
Yes, or at least a conversion kit from NG to Propane. You can't just hook up propane, as it's first having a different connector plug, and second, the burn orifices are made differently as they would be made for propane. If improperly connect, ie. not as it's supposed to be, you can risk gas poisoning, and in worst case, even explosions.
Please contact a gas specialist, they are most likely to know exactly what needs to get done and how it will be properly to be done. They might also be able to tell you about alternatives.
Good luck!

Update your question. I would need to know if its a sealed burner or open burner model. The majority of the older open burner types have adjustable burner orifices. The sealed burner models need to have the orifices replaced. I work for the local gas co.
