Identifying hot and cold water taps for laundry hook up?

Hi... I am in the process of hooking up my laundry machine and realized that the hot and cold taps are not labelled. Does anyone know how to figure out which is which? Help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!

Answers:
Usually the left tap is hot and right is cold, unless whoever installed the taps messed up, or turn it on with a bucket underneath.

Cold is always on the right as you look at it. If it isn't, somebody screwed up...

sigh.....hook a garden hose to one of the connections....put the other end outside or in a sink.....turn on the water....wait....if it stays cold...chances are, that's the cold water....if it gets hot, my guess then , it might be hot water.....but I can't be sure about that....could be a trick water connection.
In most cases the left side is hot.
I would attach one hose from the washing machine to the tap. Then turn that tap on and start the washer. The water temperature should help you identify the machines hot and cold lines.
