How to repair/remodel concrete driveway and porch?

I'm thinking the driveway and walkway won't be unyielding but what can I do about the steps on the porch? I want it adjectives to be the same bits and pieces and I'd like to own either a smooth concrete porch and driveway or better all the same, cover it all contained by some type of stone like this: http://www.southeasternstone.com/images/...

Hubby and I are polite do-it-yourselfers but I've never done a project like this previously. What is the best material to set surrounded by the stone (concrete?) and what do I need to know in the region of how to do this? Specifically how to do the porch and steps please.

Answers:    To start, if you want Stone on drive-way,you have a great foot, your old one.It looked similar to you could use a little hight at the road. this plain will give support to with an theory.
First we talk drive-way.1.Clean frail drive with pressure washer. Then include front bearing way. Get satisfactory steaks an 1x4x8' to incase drive an walkway .Thenput 1x4s to be about 1/2"go down beside old concrete.This give you a new 3"sticky drive.Now if you want rock surface, do it with expantion joint every 10'ft. I would put Slate ,gray-black.
Just once cement is poured ,take a rubber sledge hammer an litely tap them contained by place,let cement litely come resting on stone, leave alone over darkness. Next day , carry hose out an litely wet. Use a push broom to verbs Stone and any impurfection between stones.....
Porch!!!I would cut Plywood strips from the ground-up to about the hight from top of porch to be level beside floor inside. Then you can also have two steps, also frame next to plywood.
Once again set stone with rubber tack hammer an hands pushing down on them. This path put a new thrish hold at door an porch an floor immediately same level , upright luck lots of work.

The slate is heaver for triffic , An the concrete want give lower than weight.

well if you live within the south you can probably use cultured stone.i wouldn't recommend this to people who live within the north.frost can get beneath it and pop out the veneer

find a distributor near you and attain 10 % than you need .you will requirement a little extra for cuts.
Your steps & driveway do not look to be within bad shape at adjectives (No cracking ) You can have them chemicaly Cleaned and coated near special concrete surfacer Your DIY store sells these products & its abundantly cheaper then tear it all out.
