Why does filon react with steel on steel roofs and cause the steel to rust below the filon? I've encountered this problem a few times and i'm wondering if there's a way to prevent this and i want to know what causes it. Thanks

Answers:
Due to exposed metal after a nail or screw goes through the metal, moisture that builds up under the filon due to temp changes will start oxidation process, try some silicone or neoprene washers between the sheets to stop this.
