What are pros / cons on warmness pump vs traditional ac compressor unit?
Answers: there is no difference excluding a heat pump can supply you roast during the winter and a ac unit cannot.....vitally the parts are` the same except you hold a reversing valve on the condensing element to reverse the flow of freon..also the a-coil and condensing unit coils will hold checkvalves and txv that work depending on which way the freon is flowing...nearby are more parts to break down on a heat pump than a crucial air part
depends on where you live. If it get really cold alot during the winterr your wasting your time. A heat pump have what is called a reversing tap in it. What it doe's is reverses rthe flow of freon so that superheated gas is at your a coil which surrounded by turn heats the heavens that will be coming out of your vents. If it get too cold outside your heat pump will run on auxillary roast which is gas just approaching a furnace would use anyway. If you have mild winters where on earth you sre its definatley worth the money but if you have rigorous winters you might as well stick next to a regular condensing unit.
Pros; More streamlined (especially in temps between 40 - 20 degree farenheit). Just as if not more reliable.
Cons; Costs more to purchase. Costs more to repair.
The warmness pump will cool your house very okay, but it is not recommended for extremely cold climates. I live contained by the desert southwest and they work very okay here. Up in mountains, not so okay. If the winter temperatures surrounded by your area of the country routinely drop below freezing for extended times, I would not buy a boil pump, or buy one with auxiliary grill as well.
