You will need to get an estimate from a plumber in your area because charges vary in different localities. Do you want the plumber to provide the new pump and or parts or will you provide those yourself?
If you can ammend your question to include your area perhaps someone will be able to give you a rough estimate. Here in Los Angeles last week it cost us $169.00 to have a sink fitting replaced. The minumum charge here is between $90.00 and $125.00 but other areas will have different and probably lower minumums

It is something you really could do yourself. There is almost certainly a fitting called a union very close by the pump. This makes it very simple to take out and put another in. Then it is just a matter of the wiring. Note how the old one is wired and put the new one in exactly the same. There are probably only 3 wires. If you live near a Grainger store, the pump is probably available there.
I aint never heard if a sub-pump,but I have heard of a sump-pump.

It pumps stagnent water from an area. The cost of the pump should be the problem. If you already have a pump that is just not workining anymore. The job is so easy, I would think whatever they charge for an Hour would be about right. That is the problem with plumbers , they may only take 15 minutes but they have a minimum charge of one hour.
