WHAT CAN i GET TO KILL CARPENTER Bees?
Answers:
The main thing with carpenter bees is to get rid of the nest. You need a dust called Drione dust. When the larvae emerge, they will be dried up by the dust. You should use a carpenter duster to apply the Drione to the nest entry and deep into the cavities. This will take the dust deep into the nest and dry out the eggs and larvae.
The male is annoying but harmless while the female has a sting. If you wish to kill them, use Wasp Freeze or Wasp and Hornet aerosol. After you get rid of the nest, you will need a good residual insecticide. Options include Voper, Suspend SC, Tempo WP or Cynoff WP. Pest operators use products like these for their regular pest control work.

I had honey bees invade between the first and second floors on my house. Bee keepers will tear your house apart getting them and charge you a bundle, plus you have $2k of damage to your house.
We got an exterminator and he came out for $300 with some white powder and a blower he called demon powder. It wipe them out in 15 seconds. We just had to caulk all the holes they came in and done.

They are very difficult to prevent, however SEVIN dust put in the holes they bore should kill them. Most bee and wasp sprays have little effect.
Also, if you paint any untreated wood this will prevent them from boring in to the wood (they don't like paint).
Remember to fill in any holes they have already created before you paint - this will prevent them from reusing an old hole.
super hold hairspray will stop them dead in their tracks. but if you miss... look out! I'd get an exterminator!
I got rid of mine with a fly swatter, no kidding. As soon as early summer comes and they show up here in the middle Atlantic states, I see them flying in under the breezeway between my house and garage. Since they fly so slowly and hover under the breezeway roof rafters, I just sneak up on them and smack them hard with the fly swatter. Over a period of about 3 years I have just about wiped out their whole population around my house.
I found that the brown construction glue that comes in those squeeze handle applicator type cartridges used in gluing down plywood or aspenite is great for filling up the holes they drill in the wood. You just pump the hole full of the glue.
Too bad we can't get them to drill the holes where we need them drilled. They do such nice work!
PS, I don't like the toxic chemical spray or dust approach because your exposing yourself to harmful insecticides needlessly
