Can you relay, by the model #, what size my CH&A component is? Please read more...?
Answers: the model does state what size the element is...12,000 btu's equals 1ton the unit # you own is a 2 ton unit.....It is undersized for a 1250sqft house.....a righteous rule of thumb is 1ton of cooling capacity per 400sqft of living nouns ,that is if it's capably insulated and normal ceiling point of 8ft....so by these standards you would need 3ton unit(36,000) btu's to.properly cool....also another appropriate rule of thumb is, if a unit is sized correctly and the out -side nouns is 100 degrees the best you can bring about inside is 85 to 82 degrees.......virtuous luck hope this helps
dino-duck know his stuff. I agree.
i have a masters license contained by a/c and heat that element is a 2 ton system is good for around 900 square ft on a elder house and around 1200 square ft on a new resourcefully insullated newer house that is hermetic well this equation for sizing is a correct rough estimate for most of the u.s. based on an average ambient temp of 90 degree outside during the day
