Dishwasher motor unpromising?

When I turn my dishwasher on it smells as if something is burning. It is only a year frail and has be used maybe 25 times. What could be cause this smell and should I continue to use it? I am to use if for fright of an electrical fire. Any guidance on this matter would be most appreciated.

Answers:    Don't use it!!

Call the company that make the dishwasher!
Tell them what is happening, and ask what to do.
Explain that you focus the dishwasher may be a fire hazard.

It may be lower than warranty, and you can get a unmarked one!
Hello Hope:

I think it may be the drying constituent, rather than the motor. When motors burn out, you can transmit right away, and the unit will not run again. A locked motor will hum.

Do you see the smell right off, or close to the end of the cycle?
