lawn strimmer autofeeds how does it work?

Answers:
I will assume you are talking about a string trimmer. Most work on a spring system that is activated by hitting the trimmer on the ground the pressure from hitting the ground allows the string spool to turn a fixed distance and centripetal force pulls the loosened string out. Some makes have other ways of releasing the spool, but the principal is the same.

Other answers:
Your trimmer has a bumper head on it, and the string is wound around a spool inside. When you bump the head, it releases another couple of inches of the string.

When these things work right, they're poetry in motion. When they don't, they're a royal pain in your you-know-what!

Good luck!
