Either a pressure washer or hand washing with a citrus-based cleaner, or if the debris is oily or greasy; a mixture of decent quality bio-degradable dishsoap with a 1:10 isopropyl alchohol solution in water would be best. Always test the solution on an area of the awning that is not visible to ensure you won't damage the awning or discolor it.

You should be able to take it off the frame. You can check with dry cleaners but it will be expensive. What I would do is take it down to the local laundry mat and throw it in one of those big washers. If it has stains add stain lifter to spots. DO NOT DRY IN DRYER!! It will shrink. Just take it home and line dry dry in the back yard. Then put it back on frame. Wha laa

if you try to clean these yourself,,, the fabric is very heavy and even Laundromat machines won't work well,, they may just tear them up! canvas tarps and awnings have a water repellent added to them and you would just wash this out,, it would be best to call a cleaning service,, you might lay them on a floor, water and soap them and scrub with one of those push brooms, rinse well and hang them back up..
