I am considering investing contained by "Gutter toppers" for my home. Has anyone else done this?

The system is meant to guard against wreckage, snow and ice from building within the gutters. I have a two story home within the Chicago area of almost 175 ft.of gutters. They are asking just beneath $3,000 including discounts if we act this week. Thus we don't own time for another in home estimate from a competitor. They hold a Good Housekeeping Seal and seem to be reputable but it is rock-hard to be certain. Has anyone invested surrounded by a system such as this? Is this a reasonable price? Thanks for any feedback.

Answers:    We have this done when we had our gutters replaced and it be a lot smaller amount than $3000. I am wary whenever someone say 'only if you perform now'. Check the Better Business Bureau for this company.
Gutter toppers are good for what they are designed to do but don't suppose for a minute that they are maintenance free. They own to be cleaned and maintained also. The biggest thing they do is preserve an avalanche of crud from going down your gutters at one time. But they are going to get clogged up to if you don't keep hold of them clean. In that covering your gutters will be nice and clean because zilch can go down them. The Good House Keeping Seal don't be determined Sxxxx. If they lose it they just won't mention it. Anybody that presses you is doing so for a common sense. If you can't get another estimate forget it. If your gutters are surrounded by good condition next i think your 3000 would be better spent hiring someone to verbs them every so often. culture do that for a living. Bottom line is don't consent to any B.S. salesman push you into a 3000 dollar purchase with a time keep a tight rein on.
