How can I get my lawn mower to run right?
Answers:
Hy I"m not a expert or any thing but check to see if the throtle line is working right. Mine done that about a year ago.

When she tipped the lawnmower over she probably tipped it to the side where the air cleaner resides. Some engine oil may have gotten into the air filter. If you can take it off, please inspect it for any oil stains. Try running it with the air filter off just for a few seconds to see how it runs. If it runs better then clean or buy a new air filter. Another possibility is the fact that a gas/oil mixture may have been inadvertently put into the machine. I would Get rid of the old gas and try new gas.
i usualy take the carb out and use WD40 to blast out every little port I can find(ps, if the spark plug isnt charred and decrepid with bits of metal missing, it is still fine. a mower should get at least 5 years of life) make sure there are no little debries in there. one thing to make sure you check, is the needle valve, it is the valve that is conected to the float and it makes sure that enough gas is in the bowl. use a wire or small drill bit to make sure the gasket that the needle presses against is not cloged with junk. be carefull not to damage the gasket or you will be bummed. when it is mostly back together, start it and use your finger to push the throtle (the one on the carb, if it has a throtle on the handle it is sure to be governed so make sure you push the one on the carb) you should be able to rev it up to WOT(wide open throtle) and bring it all the way down to where it will try to stall. just bring it up to WOT for a short time to let the engin breath and clear anything bad out of it. it should run fine now.(it may also be a bad adjustment on the governer that is making it run slower, but you wont be able to tell unless you are sure that the carb is squeeky clean.
Wd-40 doesn't do all that well to clean a carb..., use carb cleaner.
Take the carb off, take it apart and blow out any and all holes you can see and find GOOD. I would also check the throttle cable, its a possibility it got in a bind. If its throttless, theres still springs and such that can get binded.
