The windows in my bedroom are always damp with condensation. What can I do?

Everytime I turn the heating system on the windows in my bedroom and in the kitchen get all damp with condensation. It's ruining the window frames and I do not even know what's causing it (I mean I know why condensation occurs I just don't know why it only happens in the bedroom and kitchen). How do I stop it?

Answers:
I would check both the exterior and interior edges around the window to ensure they are caulked properly. If there are any cracks seal them. Next I would look at the location of the heat vents. If they are installed in the ceiling do they blow towards or away from the window? If they blow away from the window change then to blow towards the window. This will generally alleviate the problem as well as create a better circular air flow movement for heating and cooling.

Other answers:
just keep the windows open a little bit

Either your house is not insulated well or the windows are old. New double hung windows should be installed and if you have a humidifier on your furnace check to see if it is set too high. If the windows are just sweating in your bedroom it could also be from your body moisture you release when you sweat at night if the door is closed.
