Is there a home remedy to repel raccoons?

Soak some cottonballs in peppermint oil and place them around the perimeter of your attic. Replace as needed.

Unfortunately, raccoons are intelligent and persistant and hard to get rid of. The best method is to have a company come in and humanely trap them and remove them. Check out the sites below for some additional advise.
In the mean time, seal all food in the kitchen to make it less appealing, try to find where in the attic they are coming in and plug the hole. Good luck.

nooo...y would u wanna do such things like that to racoons..do u know how hard it is to see any rocoon around here..give em to me..plzzz
Seal up the areas where they are entering. (Make sure they aren't "home" first!) Also you can put a radio in the attic and blare loud raucous music. That will scare them off. Do this repeatedly and they will finally get the message. You can also spray ammonia around the places where they are entering. That should repel them. Or get a big old mean biting dog and tie him in the kitchen!
