" HELP"...MTD 17.5 HP Riding Mower keep blowing the fuse.?

Finally got the mower to start by replacing the selonoid...but in a minute it keeps blowing the fuse. I am using a 20 amp fuse....is this the correct amp fuse? And if so, What is cause the fuse to blow. Thanks ...Charles

Answers:    If its blowing the fuse, somethings not right. A power wire could be touching metal or something. Id thouroughly jump back over the electrical system harness, make sure the battery-operated is bolted/locked down, make sure the right wires are on the right slice of the solenoid ( on the battery side or constant hot of the starter solenoid, this is where on earth the wire near the fuse is hooked- it runs and supplies power to the ignition switch) - make sure adjectives grounds are bolted to a clean ground.

20 amp fuse is right. On top of checking the electrics harness make sure you check for pinching of the electric wiring. They can get delayed in the hood and end in all kind of electrical issues.
