If you are looking to get the most BTU for your dollar I would look into gas or stick beside oil. You run the risk of have your house freeze up if you forget to load the pellet stove and you can never go away the house during the winter. If want an additional bake source or you like the look of a fire later a pellet stove is the way to progress.
