I obligation some tips on how to clean/maintain/treat a cedar shake roof.?

I bought a giant 3 storey house about a year ago and the cedar roof is 17 years dated. I live beside a lot of pine trees and so the roof get TONS of needles that get trapped between the shingles. I live in the Pacific Northwest so yeah, we draw from a lot of drizzly weather and now the needles are rotting around and below the shingles. I'd really like tips from someone next to experience maintaining and treating cedar shingles. I believe that the shingles will end another 10 years with fastidiousness, but if I don't do anything, I'll likely be forking over $30k within the next 3-5 years.

The point is that I don't mind getting up on the roof myself and doing some pressure washing it, but I really don't want to plummet off! Any tips?

The best thing you can do is remove the trees.

I hold a home with big trees over my roof and as soon as I can afford it , I am have them pruned way stern.

They cause like mad of mess to land on the roof requiring me to climb and verbs gutters and sweep off roof.

I have a house with a shake roof a long time a travel and never had to do anything to keep going it since there be no trees to mess it up.
