Why does my snowthrower smell similar to gas?

I keep the piece of equipment in my garage and at hand is a strong smell of gasoline coming from it. Where could it be leaking or is nearby something else to look for?

Answers:    Did you leave the choke unavailable?
Unless you can see a leak, the smell is most predictable coming from the carburetor. The air filter won't stop the gas smell. Check the chain from the fuel tank to the carb to be sure it isn't leak.
