how can i unclog a clothes shoot?
Answers:
know anyone with a painting pole? I have a laundry chute, too and have done the same thing.Fortunately I was able to pull the clothes out from the bottom(have done it again since, lol). Any chance of getting some back out? What about "chopsticking" two brooms to pull some back up,or down? Or one of those grabby tools?

how long is the shoot?....figure that out and go to lowes or home depot and get a 1-2inch dowel rod tha measures at least 3/4 that length and that should do the trick.
can you reach it from the other end if so go and reach up and grap the clothes from the bottom of the clothes shoot until you get the item of clothing causing the clog just be ready when you get to the clog they will all come down on you have fun and good luck remeber pull for the bottom you may also want to try pulling some of them from the top as well be patient
Bottom up, or top down...trying to unclog it? Maybe if you go to the end of the chute you can reach the clog. If all else fails, try a clothes hanger straightened out with a hook on the end. Keep in mind it may tear the clothes when you snag them and pull.
If it won't reach from one direction, go to the other opening and try. There are things called "snakes", long metal wires in 25, 50 and 100 ft coils you can purchase at hardware stores or electrical stores. They are used to "fish" conduits with wires. They have the end bent into a u-shaped hook and are steel and very strong. Good luck.

Poke a ladder down the hole! Thats hilarious!!
All very good answers but if doing it from the bottom remember the bricks!! OK all except for the ladder, and the baby.
LMAO
I used to use my baby brother, got one of them handy?
HAHA, ahhh the memories.
First of all it's a CHUTE. You need a Munchkin. Where is Glinda the Good Witch when you need her?
