The most adjectives problem with Fridgidaire (992) unit is kinked lines when new. If it's an elder unit you can create sure the water isn't isolated, and construct sure the cooling coils for the ice maker/freezer (top coil set) are hot on the support of the unit. If the coils aern't hot, or the freezer is also out of action correctly, the refigerant chage is either inadequet, or nearby is a leak within the piping (not overly likely next to current construction) The best way to concord with a appliance issue is contact the oldest personality in the neighborhood, and ask who they use... because most predictable that's the guy, although perhaps not certified for your system, know the most about it. There's something to be said for "small town" loyalty.
you may own to replace the water solenoid,to be precise the piece where the wet from your house connects to on fridge
Look at the stuff others have posted and also look sensibly at the inlet to the icemaker (inside the freezer) to see that it's not plugged with rime.
are you sure it's hooked up to the water?
Make sure your hose down valve is widen all the instrument. Sometimes packing is packed surrounded by the ice author housing. Are you sure that you inspect the unit in the past you installed it? Check to make sure the arm on the rime maker is not cartridge? Make sure your water stripe is not kinked.
Was the sensor included?Warranty, use it so they can replace it for you....
Some ice maker have to be jump started with a jersey wire. If so it will hold a little rubber flap covering up two small holes. Strip a 3" piece of 18 Gage chain about 3/4" on respectively end. Bend it into a "u" shape & insert surrounded by to the holes to jump it.
Steve is most promising correct, but you dont have to guess.http://appliancequickfix.com/ will afford you a step by step on how to troubleshoot your icemaker system. When an
icemaker is not taking water, it is completely seldom the ice initiator itself.
