How long a gas furnace/boiler can later?

Answers:    forced air ones in the order of 15-20 years. I've seen hot hose down boilers go more than 50 years. steam boilers, beside periodic running and re tubing, can last merely as long.
My forced air innate gas furnace was installed around 1965 and still going strong (however it is not massively efficient). New ones usually have a 20 year burner warranty but doubtful the blower, etc will closing that long (usually get anywhere from 1 to 5 years on the other components). Like the other poster said, boilers end a long, long time. You should expect 10 - 20 years on a gas fired forced air part.
