My central air condition is constantly blowing the fuse outside?

the fuse size is 60 amp time delay

Answers:
Probably have a short in the motor. Time to call in a tech. Could try a larger fuse but the fire department might not get there in time.

Other answers:
you probably have a short you will need a HVAC mechanic to start with and possibly a electrician

If it blows as soon as it is turned on, You have Electrical short probably The Compressor or Cooling fan. Although One of the wires could have shorted to housing due to vibration. If it takes a few minutes to blow then check cooling fan and make sure it is operating as it should. If it does not turn at all only hums or turns very slow you are in luck as it isn't the compressor. A difference of a few hundred dollars.
DO NOT INCREASE FUSE SIZE AS THIS COULD START FIRE!
You may just have dirty condenser, If you want to clean yourself turn off all Electrical systems to unit. Spray down with water hose (trying to keep spray away from elect. boxes, fan etc.) Spray down coils with mean green cleaner let set for 3 or 4 minutes then rinse throughly with water hose. It would be best it you could remove fan and rinse from inside out. If you do not feel comfortable doing it yourself CALL A TECH...
If the fuse blows immediately on start up or when you turn the power on, you have a short in the compressor or fan motor and that component will have to be replaced. If it takes a while to blow, try these things to remedy it. Make sure the outside unit is washed out. Take a garden hose and clean out the coil. See if there is any oil ports in the fan motor. If there is, make sure to lube it up with some 20W oil. Check for any loose connections on the contactor. Loose connections cause heat and that causes fuses to blow. Hope this helps!! Good luck!!
the short idea is a possiblility but i say you dont have enough amps for it, How big is your amps in your breaker box. i have a 150 amp fuse for my inside apliances. and i run a 200 amp service in my garage that the electric base board heat is connected to for my house. Central air takes alot of power. Try putting a 100 amp or 150 in the breaker box for the central air.
Its because your running other appliances at the same time
If this unit has been running fine for years dont install larger amp fuses, the people who are suggesting that are clueless to electricity and no its not because you are running other appliances, if that was the case your main breaker would open, your A/C unit is a seperate circuit. You need to invest in an amp clamp and check the individual loads in the A/C unit (compressor, condenser fan motor and evap fan motor). Each item will have a FLA (Full Load Amps) RLA (Running Load Amps) and LRA (Locked Rotor Amps) rating either on the motor or a data plate on the condensing unit. Upon startup of the unit the compressor may be running close to the FLA but once the house is down closer to desing temp the compressor should be closer to RLA. If the compressor, condenser fan motor or evap fan motor stay close to FLA then that individual motor is going bad and will need to be replaced. There are other circumstances that would cause a motor to run at a higher amp rating but first you will need to identify which one it is.

After saying all of that, you may have a loose wire shaking loose and it only happens every so often.
