We have a wasp nest under our garage. How can we get rid of it?

They seem to go in under the door. I thought about using expanding foam to block the entrance, but that doesn't seem to get rid of them. Any suggestions?

Answers:
Set an OPEN container of gas inside the shed. Something like a coffee can about half full and keep the door shut. They don't like the smell of gas and they will leave. NOTE: Take precautions so no one goes in smoking or anything else stupid.

Other answers:
Spray it with fuel oil (diesel). It will kill them quickly and stay around so they won't come back. I've done this in my shop for years.

Just be safe and don't have open flames etc when you do it.

There is a spray that you can use and it will keep them away for up to 4 weeks. Try your local hardware store.
goto walmart and buy some hornet spray it shoots 16 ft so you donot have to be real close,It works I have used it for 5 yrs now It drops them fast.
I get a pan of "hot" water -add a little dish soap and just throw it on the nest-- and be ready to run-run-run for those that get away --most of them will die on the spot
Pour gasoline or diesel fuel. (don't light it)
smoke them out
is the answer
then smash the nest
but they may make a new one
burying them does nothing they will dig themselves out

got wasp nests,in the bananas all the time
we use smoke so that the soldiers leave ,and then smash or knock the nest to the ground
on the ground the group abandons the nest ,because they need to be in the air.
any thing with reach in it . also in the spring spray the arias they like before they start building a nest. with wasp and hornet killer.
Diesel fuel works well. (Don't light it!) Throw fuel on the nest and two hours later spray with water. The next should fall apart.
Hay, I have had problems with nests under the eave of our house and the kids after being stung, do not go outside, then the wife must deal with them while trying to do the house hold duties, she then takes it out on me when I get home from work, not good!
I took a long peace of bamboo and ridged a nose at one end with a pillowcase strung on the nose with a long piece of twine for me to close the nose with..It works, nursed the nest in the pillowcase and disposed of the wasps.
We lived happily ever after, the kids were back outside, the Wife stopped nagging and there was peace once again in our home....
Use wasp and hornet spray. It shoots out so you don't get close and get stung. I use it all the time.
wait till night when its not so warm, then spray the nest with hair spray, the kind in a can, then there wings stick up from the spay,& you can get rid of the bees & there nest, most of the family will be on the nest at night, thats why you wait till night
