take a cold shower or hold cold rags on your exposed body (affected area.
"Taking a cold shower after working with insulation helps remove tiny
fibers that make their way to your skin. Don't take a hot shower.
Doing so opens the pores of your skin and allows the pesky fibers more
opportunity to make you uncomfortable."

Use vinegar then that a shower to get rid of the vinegar smell.
take a cold shower, a hot one will make it worse
Take a long shower. That just happened to me a few weeks ago, and a shower was the best cure.
Take a clean shower and use soap. Then just wait.
Seriously I take an OLD pair of panty hose and using the legs I rub the effected area against the direction the hair grows. This really does help remove the glass splinters. THEN I take a hot shower.
The trick is to limit exposure, tape around your sleeve and pant openings, neck, then if you do get some on you, don't rub or itch it, you must use very cold water to rinse it off, it has to be cold because warm water will open your pores and allow the fiberglass to get into the pores, and then you will never stop itching.
A cold shower to close your pores. A few hours for it to stop.
Wash with warm water to loosen the pores. While wiping the skin lightly with soap and water, wipe in ONE direction only, this will cause the glass particles to dislodge rather than ingrain to the skin. Then take a cold shower.Chances are some of the particles of glass will be accompanying you to bed tonite,so don't forget to change your sheets for a couple of days!
A cold shower really helps but if you want to stop the itch fast you can rub your skin with some thick cream (i.e. Nivea) or body lotion. This will make the tiny fibers to come out of your skin easier.
Make sure you take a nice warm bath, and also clean your clothes immedietly. The reason I know this is because i use to work at a place that made fiberglass insulation for brand new cars. Also, you might want to use either baby powder or that stuff you use when you get poison ivy.
I did insulation aboard ship in Navy,I would draw a bath and put 1/2 cup baking soda in water. It didn't stop it completely, but sure helped.
I've crawled through rock wool and fiberglass as an insulation contractor. You need to take the hottest shower you can stand for as long as you have hot water to open your pores and flush out the fibers.
It works.
I have done fiberglass work on boats for over 12 years. Start with a cold shower to remove excess fiberglass on your skin, then go to hot to open up pores and flush. There is no cure for itchiness it goes away after a few days or 4 showers.
Try not to get it on you in the first place go to your local paint store and get a full Tyvek suit. Wear a headsock and a mask and rubber gloves. Tape your wrist where glove meets suit. If none of this stuff is practical and you cant wear any of the following. Rub Talc Powder (baby Powder) all over your exposed body parts before starting.
