Is it possible to get mold out of books?

I stored several boxes of books in a friend's storage unit that must've gotten flooded. There is definitely white mold/mildew in the unit, and my books all smell. Is there any remedy for this?

Place out in sunshine. High Temps! Open book to moldy part. That should put a halt to the mold growth. Keep kids/dogs/pets away from the book.
