My bathroom marble floor is damaged by corrosive cleaning. How can I restore a shinny and smooth surface?

The marble surface now looks dull and sandy to the touch.

Answers:
Marble, as you've discovered, is easily damaged.. scratching, staining, cracking.. Acid based cleaners are a HUGE no-no.. Your surface is etched, dissolved by the cleaner. The harder parts have remained, somewhat elevated above the etching..

The restoration process must REMOVE the marble above the etching, removing surface down to a uniform, smooth level. The marble can then be polished to the original sheen and then sealed (with a mild acid solution) to seal the "pores" of the marble

To resurface marble, you need, at a minimum, a random orbit sander or angle grinder, a number of pads (sized to the sander) and a series of grits that will progressively
1 remove the existing scratches
2 restore the shine

Unless you are VERY handy, this is a job for a PRO

Other answers:
Use a polisher to restore the shine, but any staining will possably have gone into the stone.

I HAVE TRIED ALL THOSE MARBLE ENHANCERS THEY DONT WORK AS WELL AS YOU THINK IT IS REALLY FOR A SLIGHT DULL LOOK OF MARBLE COUNTER TOP MAINLY IT WONT HURT TO TRY BUT ALSO THINK OF A NEW LOOK ON MARBLE IT DOSENT HAVE TO SHINE A RUSTIC LOOK IS IN THESE DAYS JUST A THOUGHT
This should be executed by a professional. They will bring it back the natural beauty it was when it was first installed. That's what great about having stone, whatever "standard" home abuse it gets, it can always be brought back. But you can try it a small area, if you like the result then go for it.

try 120 sandpaper
followed by 220
then 400,
then 800, the higher you go the easier it will be to polish.
At 800 you can try the marble polishing powder that you would have picked up at a marble and granite specialized store. Follow the instructions on the package which should be close to a compound job on a car with the exception that it must always stay wet.

You can then see if the results are satisfactory to you.
