My grandfather clock is chiming 4 times instead of 9 at 9:00 and 5 at 10 etc, is there any easy fix?

remove the hands on the clock and reposition them to match the chimes and then reset the clock

chandler is correct,, when it chimes any hour, reset the needles to that hour!! then again it is a GRANDFATHER clock,, it still works hard but is slow,, lol
