how to remove a chuck from my mikita hand drill. it has a screw visable from the front of the chuck.?

i want to replace my key chuck with a keyless chuck.

Answers:
Open the chuck all the way and remove the screw - it may be reverse threaded - meaning you unscrew turning cw (clockwise)

Other answers:
in additional to capbryguy,Put the drill in a wood vise, with the chuck opened and facing up.Put a few drops of liquid wrench on the screw and let it set. You may also have to use an impact screwdriver to get it out.It will be a reverse thread

Once you remove the screw put the chuck key in the chuck, hold the drill tightly and tap the key with a hammer. Tap it so the chuck would unscrew itself.
