This used to happen occasionally, in a minute it happens every time the toilet is flushed and it appears to be getting louder and longer. Do I have need of to call a plumber or is this something I can resolve on my own?

Answers:    ok uncomplicated fix there are 2 screw on top of your spout mechanism contained by the tank 1 screw is to set saturate level disregard that screw the other is flood rate thats the one we want simply back that screw stale a half turn to increase the steep rate and stop valve shutter if the hullabaloo is still there after 1/2 turn try another 1/2 turn
Air contained by the pipes. I don't know how to fix it. You may need a plumber if you can't live next to it.
Call an exorcist.
Many times a commode will make a loud rumpus like that right since it shuts off. I would install a strange fill spigot. Sometimes extremely high sea pressure will make them squeal or own noises. Replace the plague valve.
