Any household ways to kill ants quickly??
Answers:
Here in Washington State...when you have ant problems in the house (any kind of ants) there is usually a moisture problem...rot problem.. with the wood structure of your home. You really might want to have this checked out. Good Luck!

If that doesn't work, get some Ortho Max household bug killer (or other perimeter spray) and do around your foundation and around any windows and doors you have, or directly where they are coming in.
Suck them up in vacuum and throw out side.
bleech the *other**ckers also u can use white spirits
I've tried most home remedies and I keep returning to "RAID ant killer". Just move the cat's food out of the way first.
Try Fantastik or 409 inside the home. Also place Grants ant stakes behind pipes under the sinks, behind toilets, along the walls in the whole house. Pets won't mess with them but the ants will take the bait back to their nests. The bug sprays that say they're for kitchen or indoor use still smell like bug spray. That's why I started using Fantastik & 409. Use a paper towel to wipe up ants & spray, then toss into the trash.
Get a baby with a big butt and let it squish them.
Boric acid (powdered) sprinkled along baseboards, windowsills and other points of entry. The ants carry it back to their nests after they walk through it, and kill more of the nasty buggers. I'm not sure, however, if it is pet safe, so if you have pets, check first with your vet.
A friend told me to pour grits (the breakfast kind) around the perimeter of your house. Apparently, the ants eat it, and when it mixes with their uh, "fluid contents", the grits expand, and the ant explodes.
We tried that, and haven't seen ants in our house ever since.
Good luck!
fire...be careful though
i normally spray them with bleach
