Why is my window A/C shooting water through the vents into the inside of my home?

the condensate drain is plugged with algae....take a coat hanger or long wire to unstop it.

??? did you remove the cover after winter?? If so you have a blockage outside like leaves or ?? and the exhaust fan is blowing the air back to the house because of that. Look all around the outside of the unit and make sure its open and clear. You may have to remove a panel or cover to get the inside clean or a shop vac. the fan blows heat away from the compressor and and coils to change liquid back to gas in the condensor witch gives you cold. you have a blockage in witch thatfan is blowing the air backwards. and water
Check the filter. The water is being blown off of the coil and through the vent. It will eventually stop after you get some of the humidity out of the air. If the filter is plugged, the airflow goes down and the coil gets colder and wetter.
