We have 2 Fedders A sleeves and need to replace both air conditioner units (one should be 7000 BTU and the other 10,000 BTU--both 115 volts.) We got a so-called "universal" Friedrich AC for the smaller BTU unit, but it is so small it rattles like crazy in the sleeve. Is there some kind of adapter to make this AC unit fit? And for the 10,000 BTU unit, I only see one option made by Fedders that still has the A chassis. Is this really the only A chassis AC they make anymore?

I bet if you cal the local HVAC dealer and give them the dimensions of the sleeves, they can call their wholesalers and find one that fits. IF not that, try the local wholesale house. I don't know if they sell direct to the public or if you have to have a business account. I know we usually match sleeves to new units pretty often with good luck!!
