Above ground pool filter is spiiting sand into the pool? How do we fix it?
Answers:
call a local pool company and have them come out and check your filter with it being original equipment you could possibly have a bad seal in the filter that is why your sand is finding its way back into the pool. cost's do vary but a new seal (and labor) shouldn't be more than maybe 150-200 bucks
Other answers:
I can't think of a source of the sand. Some pool filters use "diatamaceous earth" as a filter media. This would look like ultra-fine white powder. If you haven't had the filter serviced regularly, it could be the diatamaceous earth, or "D.E." is so dirty and the filter is damaged or bypassing to you are getting dirty DE discharge into the pool. Call a pool service technician.
