The pullcord to my bathroom light is stuck in place - when I pull it, the light won't go on. How do I fix it?

Answers:
I agree with Benny. The switch inside is really very cheap and basic. It would take longer to repair it than replace it. You can get a replacement at most hardware stores. Do make sure you turn of the breaker for that light before you begin your repair.

You really can't. The best thing to do is to replace the whole thing. It should take about 5 minutes. Just make sure you turn off the breaker that controls the electricity going to your bathroom. Best of luck to you.........

I had the same thing happen on a fan, basically, the little spring device at the top of the chain is plastic and breaks easily.

It isn't a big job to pull the thing out and replace or repare it. Mine was just catching and I was able to shave down the plastic with an exacto knife to make it work again. I am sure you can get a replacement for a buck or two from most hardware stores.
