We have a house that be built in 1900s and a bedroom be made into the bathroom. The plumbing is in the floor. Plywood be screwed around the plumbing as an access door and then mat was placed over it - unsurprisingly the carpet get moldy after many, various years. Now we want to place ceramic tile contained by the bathroom - how can we still get access to the plumbing well if something goes wrong and within is tile there? I want to mull over you can do a tile an access panel that can be removable but would it leak if it get wet? Help!
Answers: If your not contented with the answers you get, you might want to try this.... they now variety a laminate floor that looks a lot resembling tile you could leave the screwed down plywood and budge over it with the laminate. after if you have to bring to it just remove the molding and threshold piece and the laminate (as long as you don't gum it) will lift out one piece at a time from the finishing piece installed in. (you might want to buy the type beside the foam backing so that will come up beside the floor)
make it accessable from beneath the house...
