what's the best oil type reccommended for a lawnmower, yardman?
Answers:
Straight hd-30 (this is for all engines now) above 40 degrees F, and 10w-30 or 5w-30 multi weight conventional below 40 f.
DO NOT GO CHEAP, buy a good brand.
OR just use a 10w-30 or 5w-30 synthetic year round (even briggs is recommending syn now)
Change it every 25 hours
Other answers:
30-40 weight, depending on engine size, and climate temp.

30 weight high detergent (30 HD)
Not enough value there to make this a big deal, just use a 30 weight detergent oil.
I use 10w30 in mine Quarker State.
For 20 years my husband has been using Quakerstate oil in his lawnmower.
depends on the engine if its a kohler command, kohler courage or honda engine (which it isn't) use 10w 30, anything else like tecumseh or briggs and stratton use straight 30w
