New Showerhead did not fix leak...?

I post a question yesterday about a leaky showerhead. When the water is turned off in the shower there is a stream of water that continuously comes out of the showerhead (not the seal around it). We replaced the showerhead last night & it is still leaking same as before. I did notice that the line running from the water heater to the pipe that feeds the shower is leaking. Could this be causing the water to come out of the showerhead as well? Should I replace this le before calling a plumber or just bite the bullet & call a plumber? HELP!

Answers:
The leak is coming from the faucets where you turn the shower on. If the leak is hot it is in the valve that controls the hot water and if it is cold it in the cold water valve. You should turn off your water and replace the washers in the faucets.

I'm actually a plumber for the army, so I'll help as best I can. I don't know where exactly your leak is, what type of plumbing you have in your home, or what type of home you have, so your best bet is to just have a plumber come in and take a look at it. It may be something simple that will require very little work, or it may be causing extensive damage to your home as it is.
CALL A PLUMER
its because the washer inside the mixer is faulty or has some grit or limescale on it and it isnt sealing ...

quite easy to fix just remove thr mixer and clean and greasethe insides ,,

if this dont work u may need a new washer ..
this happened to me quite a few years ago. Can't remember what the exact cause was but we did need a plumber as something had 'gone' in the shower casing and we ended up having to get a new shower.
great that you are ficing it yourself
It sounds like you wasted you money on a shower head. Buy a basic plumbing book from a home improvement store. Find the value/value seal replacement section. Follow the pictures. It will should not be much harder than changing a light bulb, unless it is an old house.
