How can I remove Musty Smell from Carpet?

I recently had some minor flooding in my office. I have glue down commercial carpet. (Very thin with no pad beneath) I’ve dried and shampooed the carpet, but it has a musty smell. Any suggestions on how to get rid of the odor?

Answers:
I would get a dehumidifier because it might still be lingering in the air, floor, and walls. Also, I would shampoo it a couple more times if you have your own steam cleaner. Sometimes that moisture gets trapped in the concrete, doing this will help bring it out. You might want to ammend your soapy water with some Oxy stuff they sell that comes in the tub and was on TV. It seems to neutralize some smells. It can go in the cleaner.

Febreeze is good in the mean time.
